Cannonball down the straight tracks and slow down for curves or other sections of track using a basic transformer / controller.
Shown is basic Lionel transformer power source of 0 to 18 volt A.C. range. Two added components to use the simulator are 4 ohm resistor on left to represent train motor and 1milliohm resistor in ground track circuit. Notice the connection breaks of power supply rail, of about 1/16 inch, (where the two variable resistors make a connection bridge on power track).
This allows separate speed adjustments of each turn or slow speed area of track. Top and bottom straight line tracks are full speed with slow down settings when engine reaches reduced voltage track areas to keep the train on the tracks.
