Anti-Rust Method for Mothballed Ship

We can use "impressed current" to stop rust on ships stored in the "mothball fleet".  We make the metal hull of ship into a large cathode plate and surround the ship with graphite bars to be the anode connection.  The salt water is our electrolyte solution to carry the rust to the graphite bars we use for anode connection.
