D flip flop shift register

This circuit mimics an 8 bit shift register. Top switch sets data line on or off for serial  input across shift register. Push button toggles the d flip flops to read the data line. Bottom push button loads the 8 bits into a secondary register for parallel transmission to a bus (LED in this example).
