I was just reading yesterday about fan speed control- linear regulation vs. pulse width modulation vs. DC to Dc conversion. The author pointed out that with PWM, a frequency too extreme one way or the other could expedite internal circuitry failure. He recommended a nominal frequency in the range of 20Hz to 160Hz I think it was. Any thoughts on the subject?..
