Is a DFF or RSFF better for a TFF

The upper is a DATA FLIP FLOP(RED LED) , the lower is a RESET SET FLIP FLOP (BLUE LED), both are used as a TOGGLE FLIP FLOP. Which one do you prefer? Comment. DFF, or RSFF as TFF.

Not to be a downer but your question is irrelevant unless one intends on building a computer or something. Each configuration requires 2 1/4 14 pin Quad NAND gate IC's, and 1/3 of a Hex-Inverter. So actually four logic chips total- and that's only for the top or the bottom designs. One could build a circuit to serve the same function with two transistors and a few resistors..

Depends on how often you want the devices to toggle. You can make the RS Latch into a D Flip Dlip and conversely a D into a JK and then a JK into a T. Personally I have ICs for all of them. If I want toggling I go with a Toggle Flip Flop. If it is clock or signal division use a JK. For blinky circuits I use the D type. It just depends on the application really. I seldom use Latches because I do not like inconsistent or manual toggling on digital circuits

Thankyou, Sine and Justin. Lol. You guys are right. Lol. I heard DFF are really great for shift registers and I always was learned with the JK type with binary counters, and I figured the JK before the D. The D type used to confuse me with the type of latching, just the way it latches, it takes more time for me to see the purpose of it.
