Because, amplified with hfe 100 it needs 200uA to be 20mA at the LED. 200uA @100kOhm is 20V, Vbe threshold is just 0.7V, funny right, so with 100kOhm you cant avoid the LED to light up !! Got it. There are several good reasons to put a resistor from base to emitter, leagage colletor base current, or saturation to quickly discharge the base, make it faster in switch off. But in a circuit isolated with a proper push button on a PCB nobody touch the conducting PCB side, its waste of material and just misleading to tell here on everycircuit in public its to avoid accidently to activate a BJT. Its not a darlington with hfe >10000 its just a single BJT, and its not a MOSFET pure voltage driven, its just a simple noise resistance BJT. Full stop in publish bullshit information, because you are a noob.

I am 18 and currently studying electronics at university. Hurz is around 60 years old now, I guess, but I don't really know. He does have a wife and if I remember correctly, he mentioned to have children too.

@LB, personally I don’t see Kiani as a problem. The “new” Kiani is mostly putting up circuits which is good if a bit “chaotic” currently, pun intended. Meanwhile hurz remains a mix of good electronics advice but unfortunate/undesirable character traits. I will say nothing more here on either of them as they may think they’re are of relevance to me, which they certainly are not.

Also LB, you have shown a great deal of constraint more recently. You’ve proved (although I already knew it) that you critique a circuit on its merits rather than who posted it, demonstrated here where you have stated your view (which I still disagree with by the way). You have my respect.

LB, unless I overlooked it kiani is not in this thread at all. Sometimes I don’t bother to discuss/argue either because I just decide not to, or because I’m too busy. Sometimes I just can’t be bothered to argue with people I might consider to be unintelligent or if it seems pointless since they are infantile and/or change the subject. Things did improve when kiani temporarily left but I think we were all getting a bit tired of it anyway. It only takes one of the two people to stop an argument by not participating any more doesn’t it.

Dann können wir ja die Situation genauso beschreiben wie ich es bereits getan hatte. LeBitch schreit nach Papi weil Kiani ihm das Schäuffelchen weggenommen hat. Aber Papi will ihm nicht helfen. Daraufhin welzt sich LeBitch am Boden und brüllt. Aber Papi will nix wissen. Werd erwachsen, dein Verhalten ist eines Studenten unwürdig. Spreche mit Kiani direkt und nicht mit Papi, mir oder @rebem24. Benutze dabei geschickte Rethorik, sonst wirst dein Schäuffelchen nicht zurück bekommen.

Schliessen wir das, der Arme LeBitch wollte doch nur von Papi geliebt und bevorzugt werden. Jetzt bekommt er nur noch Schläge.
