The reason this is a nonsensical edition is because there is a relay switching at 1khz! Every circuit crashes if I use a MOSFET in place of the relay. Argh!
The circuit is pretty self-explanatory. It's basically a comparator. When the capacitor voltage exceeds the voltage of the voltage reference, the output goes high, which causes the relay contact to switch over and discharge the capacitor. This goes on and on until you run out of power.... or until the relay breaks? Either way, you have a ramp generator circuit that can't be built. Yay!
