Simple crude power supply. Very applicable for digital circuitry.
Zener diode acts as the voltage regulator.

Good, but I'd recommend having a full wave bridge rectifier.

@thebugger I know a full wave rectifier is better but I had to wack it together really quickly. It turned out working well enough like this.
