There's no chance of me building that computer when the address decoder for just 8 memory locations is this big.

Pretty decent but theres no way to make any multiple of 2 so those are currently eating up your build space. As for extra miniaturization, shorten wires and don't be afraid to let the tool assign them colorful dots instead of wires when it can't pathfind.
