To observe the output characteristics in the C.E configuration :
At first the Vcc is shorted and the potentiometer is adjusted to give a certain base current.
As we gradually increase the values of the Vcc the collector current increases rapidly until we reach the pinch-off voltage of the Vcc where the collector current begins to stabilise to a constant value.
By repeating the previous procedures for different base currents we can realise that increasing the base current leads to an increase in the collector current.
