This circuit is ment to switch on devices savely. The switching part is not shown, but it should be clear how to use it. When you close the switch, the circuit will wait for the AC voltage to be 0. When it has detected 0V, it will pull down output voltage which should trigger your switch. The signal will stay low as long as the switch is closed.
