I haven't tried this IRL, and therefore don't know whether it works yet. This device takes two input signals and uses a relay to switch to the signal with the highest local amplitude. Basically, |x| > |y| | x |x| = |y| | f(x,y) = { 0 |x| < |y| | y

And what is this kind of modulator for? What is its output product?

@hurz Theoretically, this would be used as a synthesiser module or dual-input instrument pedal. Output would be fed forward through other modules or directly into an amplifier.

IT does mix two signals to one thats clear, but what is the effect it does on the mixed result?

@hurz ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ok, any good link to a internet source

@paulvg01, I asked for a weblink, were you got this modulator from, with the hope there is some futher explanation about it. Anyway, if its your invention its also fine and no problem. We can then think about what the result product is. Isn't that fair? Keep it up.

@Hurz My apologies for the late reply. I came up with this circuit primarily through trial and error. I came up with this myself, and I don't know if any pre-existing diagrams for a circuit like this exist, and I have no idea where they are if they do.
