Rebuild of Hurz NAND gate AM Modulator. 300 Ohm resistor is the AM antenna, orange wire is the air waves :) Modulator on left, demodulator on right

Nice but after demodulation you wont have the same signal. Try it and youll see just put a simple detector

Your simple detector seems to not work correctly. Keep on demodulating

Checkout my " XOR AM Modulator Demodulator - fun " i updated with receiver principle.

I am not a RF engineer, however this is the difference of ssb to dsb modulation for am. Dsb double side band is easy demod with peak detector. Ssb single side band need clock regeneration on receiver side

Or was it something because of modulation index 100%. I am not sure

Maybe there is a clever RF guy outside and could make it more clear than me

Haha. Yeah I'm on Wiki right now looking up AM to learn more about it, you'll find there's no limit to what I will learn and try to recreate to do as I need, so I'm hoping one day the student can become the teacher :)

Recude the 3kHz signal to 300mV and the demod signal looks almost perfekt, however lpf is for this kind of demo ovef engineering. It does not need lpf at all. Keep on learning

Good work Hurz, thanks man :)

I want to clarify the phrase: "NAND gate AM Modulator". You have used the exclusive OR (XOR) gate. It's DSB-SC AM Modulator. One phrase - two errors. ;)
