press the button for a second or so to throw it off balance, then release. the voltage spike on one side will throw the source pin low and switch one fet on and push the other source pin high, holding the other fet off. the opposing capacitor charges through the coupled inductor, pulling the other fet source pin low and sending it's gate high, switching it on. this makes the two LC circuits resonate and the gate voltage increases with each cycle
