The voltage oscillates quite erradically when fully charged

That’s just EC’s (EveryCircuit’s) way of injecting noise into the simulation.

@kastenada, how much voltage is it?

Tis 12v

The capacitor is charged to 12V, but how much is the ripple on it. Tipp, remove the 12V with the help of an additional dc 12V source

thats just noise.... its so tiny it oscillates between 12v and 12v. insert another voltmeter and short the two ports. then you have an actual 0 and you can see how tiny the ripple is.

My idea is the following, the cap is charged to 12V +- around this voltage we see some zick zack effects we cant quantify, cuz the y axis is to coarse is resolution 0.1V steps. So lets bring the voltage down to zero volt but keep the zick zack as is. Check this http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5576472407572480
