It's not a bug. Why does everyone think that EC is full of bugs while they dont understand the physics behind it all. Since no current passes through the plates of the capacitor it just keeps building up. When charging a cap with a constant voltage source it will charge it to a given voltage by varying the current but when charging it with a constant current source it will keep pouring current into it at a constant rate but since the current doesn't pass to ground the voltage will increase linearly until it reaches the caps voltage rating at which point the cap will fail. But since the cap in EC has no voltage rating the voltage will keep increasing indefinitely.

One more thing. This is not a van de graff oscillator.

I think there should be a simple test before being allowed to post into the community. Anyone could purchase the app of course, and use everything within it to practice topometry (is that/can I use that word?)- their circuitry, in other words. And when a user feels he has enough understanding and working knowledge, take the test! It doesn't have to be difficult at all- really just a gatekeeper of sorts and a buffer between established community members and...... non-established users..
