Pretty cool voltage limited I found with Google

I really want to limit an input wave form to 0V - 5V ...  This seems like the right idea, but you'd have to do it twice and flip it upside down.  This might even be a little complicated for me.   I can't (yet) figure out what all the parts are doing.

Remove the ac supply and give a dc supply with 1 volt with positive terminal in the lower direction.......see the graph......say why the graph is like this
