YouTube videos show this as " in field" stick rod welding repair. You are supposed to have welding helmet and stick welding rod with you. Also, buddies with extra batteries and jumper cables. Knowing how to stick weld a plus.
Note: Negative terminal goes to insulated welding rod holder (or vise grip holding rod with battery jumper cable clamped to vise grip tool). Positive battery terminal is attached to welding piece. Add enough batteries to get welding rod working.
Important to have good battery terminal connections with the heavy currents so you do not melt battery terminals from heat.
