hurz how do you design filters

looking back at some of your old circuits, your current sense filters worked effectively.  how do you design and calculate your filters for DC in power control circuits?

2 questions, how much ripple and how quick it must be? ripple Vpp in case you have a ADC connected 8bit resolution is about 46dB and quick means you would like to regulate every millisedonde your loop?
