Voltage choke from 7199 vacuum tube

Hypothetical solution for reducing V output from mismatched 7199 tubes using 1kOhm trim pot. Battery represents 7199 tube output. 1kOhm trim pot provides 0-25% reduction of V.  7199 tubes are becoming scarce. "Matched" sets of tubes are almost non-existent.  7199 tubes were used as left and right channel drivers in antique tube stereo amplifiers.  This hypothetical solution might be employed in stereo units that cannot accept 6U8A driver tubes.

32V drop at 32mA across the pot is one watt , that's going to need to be a very hefty pot
