Face, be careful, Lenny will spam on your circuits if you continue to be constructive on his "circuits", but he does not understand. Every comment he does not understand will be classified as bullying and answered with spam on your circuits. Lenny will make a lot of friends in future.

@kiani cathode ray oscilloscopes also have a Z-axis input that controls the trace intensity; it can be used to "blank" the trace between rescans which makes troubleshooting easier. in this example I would invert the clock pulse signal and attach it to the Z-axis to blank the trace when the "ball" moves

The new shitty DSOs do have no useful Z inputs. Already the XY mode is on my scope shit, extremly slow and i did not looked for a Z because with such a slow XY a Z doesn't make sense for me

yeah I'm hanging onto my old Bmd cro for as long as I can. a recording dso would be nice for some impulse measurements, maybe signal tracing; but the old analogue is perfectly fine

if i think of my first 10-20MHz analog real dual trace scope how i kicked it out 30years ago, my day is bad 😭 what an idiot i was. It was a tektroniks one which was the transistor version of the 10MHz tube version. Itbwas good for 20MHz and even improved by my dad with some faster transistors here and there. But 30yeasr ago i thougt i will never go back into Lab and need a scope. Shit.
