A Colpitts oscillator, invented in 1918 by Edwin H. Colpitts, is one of a number of designs for LC oscillators, electronic oscillators that use a combination of inductors and capacitors to produce an oscillation at a certain frequency. The distinguishing feature of the Colpitts oscillator is that the feedback for the active device is taken from a voltage divider made of two capacitors in series across the inductor.

When I increase simulation speed to several ms the oscillations die out but if keep it in microsec then it remains constant. Why?

Because if you increase the simulation rate the program tends to under-sample the oscillations and that means that the program can't catch with the speed of the oscillations...so that doesn't let the oscillations to built up...
