Soft mute question

I'm trying to design a signal muting, or rather, unmuting circuit for my Harpejji build. I think I'm close here. The signal unmutes over some 10 milliseconds, which is the desired effect. However I can't seem to get it to do so symmetrically. In tinkering with the components and routing I always get a big difference in unmuting speed between the positive and negative parts of the signal. Any suggestions?

Try a little feedback. Ie. A resistor (100k} from collector to base! Maybe!

Thanks for your suggestion kiani. Alas, this only influences the muting transient and leaves the unmuting transient untouched. And the asymmetrical characteristic is not negated.

400mV instead of your 500mV a.c. amplitude?

I've got it. The base supply circuit should be mirrored to the negative side of the supply. To supply a PNP transistor. This way you get two shunts to ground. Both working on different sides of the signal. I'm glad.
