I don't know why I suddenly find frequency multiplier so interesting but whatever. I based this on simple BJT monostable multivibrators. It works by positive and negative edge triggering the MV's. Of course, you need to adjust your time periods to work with different input frequencies. Also, if you make your time periods larger than that of the input it will begin to function as a frequency divider instead.
