From what I know, the voltage drop between base and emmiter should be 0.7V. So why is it 3V here?

You are killing a low power transistor😊. Set a lower base resistance and it will be more realistic.

@eoh, lowering the base resitance does reduce Vbe to come closer to 0.7V, but the current from base to collector even increases much more then before. The transistor will be still burned. Hmmm, anybody can explain why this high base to collector current is needed in @elrick33 circuit? @elrick33?

It is not a bug. "You just use the simulator wrong" ~ Hurz. But actually, transistors act like this in reality, so you just don't know how a transistor works...

Ohhh i think i know...the emitter is on a higher potential than the collector so the bjt is reversed biased and thats why the current (bc) is so high.

Right @ViolationMad thats the root cause! Correct use of simulator and even more importante, you understand what the simulator does and will happend in relality. LeButch is still fighting in understanding anything.

Everybody, thank you for your input. Indeed I only have a very vague idea of how transistors work, which is why I am experimenting with this simulator. So there is no particular reason for why I set parameters like this, @hurz, except for general cluelessness. @ViolationMad is right, increasing the collector voltage makes V_BE indeed become 0.7V as expected.

No more bizarre than you brownnosing someone that repeatedly abuses and insults (and has also been seen to racially slur, including calling someone a Nazi) people. I'm not sure why you keep assuming that my issues with @LeButch and your subsequent lack of discretion in defence of his needless (remember 'needless') and crude type of trolling has anything to do with hurz. If you have issues with hurz, then those issues are between you and hurz, I could really care less. I'm confident in the ability of both hurz and yourself to mitigate whatever issues you share between yourselves. Furthermore, you also wrongly assume that @LeButch does nothing to attract this so called needless treatment. @LeButch will continue to pull ponytails, I only question why you repeatedly defend and sometimes praise his useless baffoonery.

@LeButch isn’t perfect. Yes, he does wind people up. Sometimes he tries to be funny, but isn’t. He can be annoying. In saying this I have also probably described many other users of EC. You may have noticed he doesn’t merely comment “dump” so much now - if at all, so perhaps is taking notice of some of the criticism he gets. But, with months of constant downing by certain EC members it is easy to see how he starts every day expecting hostile remarks from every quarter. This is probably my last comment on this topic. We can agree to disagree. I’ve other things more pressing.
