Use this circuit with a flyback transformer like from a crt tv and you will actually hear music coming from the high voltage arcs jumping between the ends of the secondary. It makes for a really neat effect and is a fun and easy project that never fails to impress. Not to mention the circuit is very simple with just a 555 ic and handful of common components. Have fun!
