a sillicon diode droping 1.3V over a longer periode is almost dead. In your example the maximum drop is 0.86V and is ok for even longer time, if the diode is getting hot, it needs a heatsink or big copper soldering area on a PCB where the diode is mounted, to have good thermal contact via its pins.
