in reality the base bias resistor of T1 is too fussy to be of any practical use, it has to be set precisely to match the HFE of the transistor at the given frequency. changing the frequency or any other interference stops the oscillator altogether. this circuit is a good example of a simulation that does not represent the reality at all.
