The SPDT switch represents small rag soaked in gasoline or flammable material at end of long screwdriver or metal rod.

First, have fire materials and tender ready to start fire.

Second, with the engine running- touch rod to engine block and slide up to top of spark plug (NC) that has insulation boot pushed back and hold about 1/16 inch from top plug wire to get arcs to light the rag.  Be sure to hold rod against block after it lights until you slide away from spark plug so you do not pull away and get a shock.
