Potentiometer on the top represents gas pedal and adjusts the PWM circuit which consequently changes the average DC value. After a certain point speed surpasses the predefined upper limit so with the help of an NPN BJT voltage level goes into a sudden decrease that corresponds to the behavior of the rpm during a transmission shift. Time delays on the order of 10 msecs are not yet solved. Leds indicate which gear level is selected. The given position of the POT is at the critical level.Wait for the orange line to get sufficiently close to the red line then increase the percentage of POT, purple line will give the rpm level change respectively whereas green line represents the speed.
