AC source or DC source

Define the source as AC or DC Its labeled AC source, this brilliant dude named Igor labeled it. But for some reason current only flows in one direction. This leads me to assume that Igor is a liar and its really a DC source. Google defines AC and DC very clear; as only being a characteristic of current direction.

The source is AC. The diode rectifies it. Back to manuals, dude.

I love that using the terms AC and DC mean everyone says "current" when they mean "voltage"! :)
