A trigger Signal (Push Button) is used to set a 5 Minute Timer. After 5 minutes the output will be LOW again. This can be used in many applications. You can change the timer Value by changing the capacitor Value. Lower C = less Time. Or change the Resistor right above the Capacitor to change the time. The formula for the time is: 1.1×R×C
This circuit is known as a Monostable 555 circuit.
