Polarizzazione del transistor in zona attiva. Nel punto di lavoro a riposo Q del transistor la corrente 

Ic = 3mA 
Vce = 6.8V

Dato che IBase = 20uA e hfe = 150 segue che 

Icollettore = hfe * IBase = 3mA 

ossia la corrente di base controlla la corrente di collettore. Siamo al centro della regione attiva di funzionamento ossia possiamo usare il transistor da amplificatore.
