Strange voltage jump...

Turn on the switch, depending on how long you hold the switch on, it can jump up to about 20 volts... Specs: 1V, 0A, 0 Ohms

What is strange about the laws of induction? This is how car ignition systems (used to ) work and the reason why you need to add a diode whenever you control a relay using semiconductors.

Yeah the sim shows ~20v, but setting the sim speed to 10ps/s gives you 2GV. It's because of what hurz said.

Placing a diode across the coil appears to limit the voltage spike to 1.79V
