This transmitter is almost identical to the Make FM Transmitter tutorial (originally popularized by Japanese multimedia artist Tetsuo Kogawa).
The inductor coil is constructed uses an 18AWG solid copper wire with 4 turns around a1/4-20 inch bolt and lengthened to 12mm. Calculations were made using the coil inductance calculator here:
