Nice, i guess the 2.2kohm should give some feedback to let the inverter act like a schmitt trigger. Unfortunately in EC the output impedancy is zero ohm, so this resistor has no effect. Each inverter has a voltage gain of roughly 2.5 if i remember correct, so 4 of them give 2.5^4=39 which seems to be enough for a sharp clock edge for the FF. However going down with simspeed to 500ns shows quite rounded edges which might make big problems in real designs. And going down to 100ns even EC gives up with CFS. A schmitt trigger is definetly needed.

hey pedroretro how is your toggle flipflop (6 NANDS an 1 AND) working? i'm baffled to see it work, it puts the latches in an 'invalid' state but works?? you obviously know something, is that why you stay quiet??? :P
