Ao acionar a chave, dois transistores são acionados na base fechando o circuito em um sentido de rotação. Ao acionar a chave no outro sentido, a ordem dos transistores em funcionamento são invertido, e os outros dois transistores passam a fechar o circuito em sentido inverso, alterando assim o sentido de rotação do motor DC
