At a fairground, three participants compete in a reaction speed contest.
Each participant has a green and a red light. Initially, the green lights are on. The first button provides the start signal and causes the lights to turn red. Each player presses their reaction button. If a participant presses their reaction button before the start signal is given, they are automatically disqualified, and their red light illuminates as evidence of disqualification. The green light of the fastest non-disqualified participant lights up. After pressing a central button, the red lights are ready for the next competition.
An electronic circuit was designed to control the sequence and determine the winner of the competition using only the functions NOT, AND, and OR.
