Generates square wave from DC input
The square wave is not the “supply” to the system, it is the control signal, the trigger that regulates the operation of the SCRs.
Practically, the power outputs of the square wave generators is way less than the output AC power of the inverter. The supply to the system is the DC source. An inverter converts the time-invariant power of the DC source to a time-varying AC source.
