Min voltage-5v. Min amperage-75mA. Variance of ~2 mA over 100v range.  As many LEDs in series as power source can handle.  100k pot for rough adjusting, 10k pot for fine.

The zener controls the voltage but not the current flow. The pots change the current. Control current thru the led as the x means led burned up. In EC leds are set to 20ma as you know. You changed the first led setting unfortunately, they all have to be changed. If using the Google Chrome version, you can click on a component and drag the to top of a like item and the settings will copy over. But this circuit does work
