Buttons on the left are used to "program" what number you want the counter to reset at. The seven segment display on the left will show what you've programed it to (you can also reset what number you have it programmed at with a push button on the bottom left, if you wish). Once you've programmed it, press the push button under the counter to start it... watch it reset.
