This circuit has a 1khz triangle wave in input and a 2khz output triangle wave in output. This is called frequency multiplier and it works by making the input signal positive and negative and then rectifying it. -nikisalli

Cool. It's so perfectly obvious i cant believe i didn't think of it myself. Ive been trying to develop multipliers based around the 555, working with rectangular waves and monostable mvb's. The triange wave is the only waveform that maintains it's shape and harmonic content following a full bridge. I should have noticed but didn't well done.

Just a bridge rectifier. Good :)

And the opamps are btw not really needed http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6738124726599680

I've used the opamps to have a triangle in input and have a triangle in output with the same peak voltage

And why this completely different simulation circuit?

Its the lower left one opamp were you need to swap +- inputs
