Saturation Region The voltmeter voltage is controlled by the independent voltage source. If the voltage source is 5V. More precisely Vgs >= Vth and Vds >= Vgs - Vth. Vth = VTO = 3V K = 1 mAV^-2 Id = K/2 * (Vg - Vth)^2 = 1/2 * (5V - 3V)^2 = 0.5 * 2^2 = 2mA Vds = Vd - (Id * Rd) = 10 - (2kohm * 2mA) = 6V (>2V) That's it, 10V input (independent voltage source) = 6V output (voltmeter) with Id = 2mA. Notice: 1. Width = 90 nm 2. Length = 198 nm 3. KP = 1 mA/V^2 4. VTO = 3V 5. Lambda = 200 m1/V
