Why does this not work as a Full Bridge Rectifier

Can someone please explain why the voltage / current for this matter across the resistor not stay positive. I know my circuit is incorrect but I’m trying to understand why this wouldn’t work as a full bridge rectifier

It’s still alternating current through the resistor

Oh the first cycle through resistor is AC but second isn’t. I see it now. Sorry for the dumb question 😅
