Hit the button(2-way switch "off" and "on"), it is the "clock". For some reason it starts at the end. It has to "flip-flops" that count in 2-bit binary code(red and blue LEDs), then it decodes it in 4-bit decimal order(orange, yellow, green, and violet LEDs).
