Converts the input to RMS with the result being shown on the voltmeter. The input is 163VAC which results in the voltmeter reading 115V on the output. The input can be any shape of wave as long as the base frequency is no slower than 1kHz and it’ll be able to give an accurate result. If the input is DC then the output will equal the input. If the input includes multiple AC sources with different frequencies then the base frequency will be the GCF (Greatest Common Factor) of all the base frequencies. For example, the GCF of 20kHz and 23kHz is 1kHz. If it has multiple AC sources each with the same frequency then it will work as long as that frequency is no less than 1kHz. You may have to wait a few seconds to get your result while the voltmeter’s reading bobs up and down if the frequency source is at 1kHz. The amount of time it takes to stabilize is dependent on the frequency of the highest frequency AC source in the circuit. (10kHz will take 10 times longer than 1kHz, 100kHz will take 10 times longer then 10kHz, etc.)

Ok. I admit that the amplifier with 2V/V gain with voltage divider was also your idea, but the filter was my idea and the MOSFET feedback for the square root was my idea because I couldn’t remember how you did it.

Also, I didn’t remember you ever making a RMS convertor with the MOSFET for square/square root so I decided to do that. If you’ve already made such a circuit then I wasn’t aware of it especially ever since you took down all your circuits, which, by the way, I still think is the worst decision you’ve ever made on EC.

Everycircuit pushed us, users who are interessted in electronics, to used methodes which are not common on other simulator environments. If you invent under everycircuit such a circuit you will mostlikely not find this very same one anywere! So its clear when things taken here from everycircuit, its just a lie if you tell us engineers use this topologie of circuit over decades. A lie or just inexperience of electronic knowledge. Or trolling. Make your own choice. A credit to the original circuit inventor is always a kind thing you should do if you are well educated. But what do we expect from norty trolls?!

But dont you think a credit is the minimum one can give back when its going for circuits work around everycircuit limitations? I dont expect credit for common used circuit which are known anyway. But here in this case its different.

Huh. Well, that seems weird and cryptic and not what one would immediately assume. I guess this theory can’t be proven with all his circuits privatized, which I still think was his worst decision he’s ever made on EC. I mean, there is so much that can learned from so many of his circuits.

Jason9, the irony is that very few people, if any, could probably fault his designs and any hostile comments referred to his attitude and NOT the designs. So to remove his circuits because of “trolling” is a nonsense since the remedy was (and is!) for him to control himself and not needlessly attack others and their designs. As I’ve said before, I’m responsible for hurz removing his circuits - he reported me for a couple of swearwords said in anger and I received an email from Igor saying I had 24 hours to remove the posts or be banned from the site. As hurz had used many more swearwords than me I then reported his bad language. Igor said he would treat everyone by the same rules and he sent hurz a similar email. Hurz decided he wouldn’t be dictated to, threw his toys out of his pram, and thought he would hurt EC by depriving them of his circuits. This was nothing but selfish behaviour. Perhaps he expected EC to suffer but it carries on stronger than ever. I do agree with you that the circuits would be of interest to many users. I’m sorry that my action in reporting him (after he reported me) has effectively deprived you and other users of access to the circuits. Hurz could be a real asset to EC,and some think he is, but unfortunately he does have this superiority complex and if he thinks something isn’t precisely correct in every minute detail, rather than point it out in a friendly manner resorts to abuse, name-calling and worse. It’s a shame. He could change his behaviour and I, and many others I’m sure, would be happy to be “friends” with hurz but it’s difficult to make happen unless and until he is prepared to alter his behaviour.

I personally completely agree with what @Robert_Kidd and @crake have to say about @hurz, but with @hurz having to be nicer to avoid all this “trolling”, as @hurz puts it, I think this niceness can go either way. For, example, I am completely free of swear words (you can check every comment and every circuit I’ve posted, you won’t find any) and am generally nice even in relation to @hurz, and we both seem to get along just fine. If either @hurz, or @Robert_Kidd and @crake would just be nicer to each other then all this would never have happened and all of @hurz’s circuits would never have gone down. And I also agree with you, @Robert_Kidd, about the pointlessness of hurz removing all of his circuits, although you did kind of force him into it as that’s the quick-and-dirty way of getting rid of all his swear words (which he continues to still throw around) because 24hrs is quite a short time to get rid of the mountain of swear words @hurz has put up. @crake, thank you for appreciating my talent, and I promise to not be overly egoistic around it, to help others out, and to not call other talented people mediocre just because I feel that I need to be above everyone else.

Jason, to set the record straight, Igor asked me to remove a comment from 2 circuits. I sent Igor links to 8 circuits where hurz had sworn. I don’t recall any being hurz circuits - just ones where he had posted comments with foul language. Therefore, in reality, it was 10 minutes work to delete the comments. In a strop he decided to make 600+ circuits private - quite a task.

Wow. That really makes it a mystery why he would even do that, especially since non of the reported circuits were even his, unless he just got angry at the community as a whole, but even then, that’s a lot of good information in those circuits that could be used to teach concepts to the community, and if it is anger at the community doesn’t anger tend to fade and therefore remove his reason to even remove his circuits in the first place? The more I look at this the worse of an idea it seems to be to have all of his circuits removed and still stay removed even now. You’d think he’d come to his senses, but I guess not.

It was much more pissing spreaded on 600+ circuit, and im not willing to check 600+ circuit just robbi pissing on them random in the past, today and in the feature. Robbi also has the talent to delete foul language he posted. So pissing around increase if he feels bad from job and beer, and the next day he might as he remembers with headache deletes some, every second, fool comment. Thats not to funny for me to round robbin check everyday 600+ circuits, just robbi feels bored.

If you bothered to check all 600 circuits you would be lucky to find one that I’ve “trolled” on. The reason is quite simple - that most, and perhaps all, of your circuits are good, sound designs. As stated earlier, my comments are almost all ones where you have shown unkindness, insulted and disrespected people. My comments are mostly not about electronics but about your bad behaviour. Hurz, you must learn that calling me names means nothing, doesn’t hurt or upset me. It does show you are infantile however. If you say a circuit is sh1t you ARE being disrespectful to the author. You can say it’s not optimised, that it can be improved, that a circuit you have linked to is worth a look or superior in some technical aspect. No one should take offence at such comments but be grateful for your interest. I’m interested in getting on with people, not arguing. The ball is in your court. That has to do with the foul language hurz tend to use whenever he feels that some circuit don't suite his protocol. When he can not find any flaws in a circuit, he will then will look for unimportant aspects like a lower voltage then expected, while the circuit still can function correctly and that will trigger him to spit foul language. Hurz has a compulsive urge for using foul language for no reason and this can be called Tourette Syndrome.

The way I see Tourette syndrome is a compulsive involuntary action taken that is generally simple and short such as an eye twitch or muscle spasm, but can be more complex and longer such as a phrase being spoken, but the degree of complexity shown by @hurz’s compulsive behavior cannot be Tourette syndrome and must be entirely voluntary unless @hurz goes into some kind of strange trance, but he’d say so when not in a tranced state and most likely apologize for his foul language after the trance is over, but this doesn’t happen therefore proving that this compulsive behavior of his is embedded in his personality because there is no other option.

It's definitely not involuntary. I have seen him be an absolute darling to some people, and incredibly harsh to others. He tends to be selective, for whatever reason, and holds a grudge. What makes the matter worse in my opinion is he chooses to behave this way. Imagine how much better this community could be if his help wasn't wrapped in razor wire?

Like any troll, hurz seeks attention and we are giving him plenty - including me - which is exactly what we shouldn’t do. Ideally he wants praise from us for his circuit design skills but, failing this, he’ll settle any feedback we give to keep him in the spotlight. Ideally we should starve him by not replying to his provocation - not always easy to do!
