Особенностью данного стабилизатора является выходное напряжение 5 В при использовании стабилитрона на 5,6 В.
Стабилизация начинается при входном напряжении чуть большем напряжения стабилитрона (Low dropout voltage - 0,6 V). Защита от КЗ отсутствует.
Конструктивно коллектор силового транзистора соединен с корпусом.
