Holds between 8.2 and 9.0V. I'm really surprised how much the 10Ω resistor stabilizes it, despite passing much less current than the FET at its peak.

Haha! Looking at it now, it's a good thing the peak current draw doesn't last long, or it wouldn't be stable.
