Generates random pattern.

Generates 1,3,7,6,5,2,4 and starts again from 1. A three bit CRC maximal length of sequence is 2³-1=7 so you have here a maximal sequence length with this circuit. Fine, keep it up!

Thanks

Use an EXNOR and get without the switch a self starting sequencer 0,1,2,5,3,6,4

This is not random at all. It is 000 100 110 111 011 001 101 010

Actually it is 100 110 111 011 101 010 and more

Thats why he called it "pseudo" random

The term pseudo random in this context means the sequence appears to be random but, in fact, is not. Often used in encryption systems, it is common for many millions of sequences to be produced before a system repeats itself.

I dont start a discussion about what is random and what is not. But this sequence is as random as any other sequence which looks to you random, random. Any sequence is random and possible. "Often in encryption" and often in many many other things e.g. and only one example, telecommunication as error detecting CRC code or even error correcting code. Millions of sequences hmmm (2^32-1)/32= 134Million 32bit words pseudo random and this is just 32bit. Suppose a encryption key of 4096bits. So millions is quite pessimistic guess you made. All in all you are just at the sureface of knowledge about this topic.

BTW, there were some nice discussions already with @maxmax_66 and @roops1967 about "random", but who knows were they are now...

A 1024 bit CRC register repeats after 1.75E305 step (2^1024-1)/1024 I think this I quite close to random, at least you wont be able to watch this sequence and tell me when it will repeat/restart all over!

I’m not interested in what you did or did not start a discussion about. My piece was in answer to Benb0456 and not directed to you. It’s a brief answer to a brief question and not an attempt to baffle or inform everyone how clever I am. Encryption is a subject all on its own and the theory is highly mathematical if one looks at it seriously.

There is no question and you didn't adressed anybody. Next time you have to make it more clear, or have to live with answers to your weak statements!

Pointless reply.

If there was no question why did you answer it? Fool.

Again, were is the Question you have answered? Funny kiddi

I can’t waste any more time on you when you clearly don’t understand English.

Again the old escape strategie if you fail. Childish. Be a man, or better shut up and dont comment.

Not escaping, not childish, nor failing, just deciding not to waste any more time talking to you when your only purpose in life is to try to demonstrate your self-perceived superior knowledge. Yawn!

Right, put "jealous" on the list too

Yawn, yawn.
