Discrete regulated power supply. Built this today and it works well, at least from a DC point of view, not sure if its entirely stable in AC terms. All the small transistors were bc549c the output transistor was TIP3055, the current source was made from a jfet and a resistor. It is intended to be powered from a 19V laptop PSU, the 50Khz ripple represents typical ripple from a switching power supply ( will probably be lower in practice ) the circuit demonstrates moderately good ripple rejection, about 5mV peak to peak ( the green trace ) Output resistance measured at 0.033 ohms ( at DC at least )
